Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near. | Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near. |
A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need. | A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity. |
But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last. | Yet as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last, He will take His stand on the earth. |
When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. | For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. |
I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. | I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. |
This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. | This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. |
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” | And looking at them, Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” |
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” | But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God does not see as man sees, since man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” |
I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young woman. | I have made a covenant with my eyes; How then could I look at a virgin? |
“The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!” | The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent and believe in the gospel. |
So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. | While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. |

Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. | Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. |
Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. | Let your gentle spirit be known to all people. The Lord is near. |
I hear the tumult of the raging seas as your waves and surging tides sweep over me. | Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have passed over me. |
No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us. | No one has seen God at any time; God the only Son, who is in the arms of the Father, He has explained Him. |
And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame. | Now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not draw back from Him in shame at His coming. |
From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” | From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” |
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all. | Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all! |
A fool is quick-tempered, but a wise person stays calm when insulted. | A fool’s anger is known at once, But a prudent person conceals dishonor. |
Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise. | Turn to my rebuke, Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. |
