- Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe forever. - Come to a sober and right mind, and sin no more; for some people have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.
- Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
- And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming.
- All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
- Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave room for the wrath of God; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
- Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be a healing for your flesh
and a refreshment for your body. - For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died.
- Rend your hearts and not your clothing.
Return to the Lord, your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love,
and relents from punishing. - Do not repay evil for evil or abuse for abuse; but, on the contrary, repay with a blessing. It is for this that you were called—that you might inherit a blessing.
- Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.
- My friends, if anyone is detected in a transgression, you who have received the Spirit should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness. Take care that you yourselves are not tempted.
- If you refrain from trampling the sabbath,
from pursuing your own interests on my holy day;
if you call the sabbath a delight
and the holy day of the Lord honorable;
if you honor it, not going your own ways,
serving your own interests, or pursuing your own affairs;
then you shall take delight in the Lord,
and I will make you ride upon the heights of the earth;
I will feed you with the heritage of your ancestor Jacob,
for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”Next verse!With image
