- To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend;
even to him who forsakes the fear of the Almighty. - And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
- But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.
- For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor; if you don’t oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don’t shed innocent blood in this place, and don’t walk after other gods to your own hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even forever more.
- For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ.
- For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
- If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.
- Pray like this:
‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
Let your Kingdom come.
Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’ - “Come now, and let’s reason together,” says Yahweh:
“Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” - If therefore they tell you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ don’t go out; or ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ don’t believe it. For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
- Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.”
- For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
- Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you. But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat.
- Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.
- Deep calls to deep at the noise of your waterfalls.
All your waves and your billows have swept over me. - But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
- Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not depart from it. - Set me as a seal on your heart,
as a seal on your arm;
for love is strong as death.
Jealousy is as cruel as Sheol.
Its flashes are flashes of fire,
a very flame of Yah. - Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them.
- I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies,
as much as in all riches. - Live as free people, yet not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God.
- For even though the fig tree doesn’t flourish,
nor fruit be in the vines,
the labor of the olive fails,
the fields yield no food,
the flocks are cut off from the fold,
and there is no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in Yahweh.
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! - Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
