- Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
- Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
- “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
- If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
- Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
- I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
- Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
- Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
- But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
- For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

- Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
- For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
- Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
- So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?
- Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
- Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.
- And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
- We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
- To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
