Chinese (traditional)- Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom. - The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are attentive to their cry. - But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
- To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
- The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of his unfailing love. - The name of the Lord is a fortified tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe. - Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. - For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
- Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. - The Lord detests lying lips,
but he delights in people who are trustworthy. - This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles. - May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
- The righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all. - ‘Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty.
- I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. - For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
it is he who will save us. - Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done. - Better a little with the fear of the Lord
than great wealth with turmoil. - “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. - Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
- Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;
let this be known to all the world. - So we say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?”
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.Next verse!With image
