But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.
The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless, but it is the ruin of those who do evil.
But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.The lips of the righteous know what finds favor, but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.
And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
