Chinese (traditional)- Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
- It is honorable for a man to stop striving,
Since any fool can start a quarrel. - So we may boldly say:
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” - In God (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
I will not fear.
What can flesh do to me? - Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?
- Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him.
And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. - I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
- If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
- Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?
- In the day of prosperity be joyful,
But in the day of adversity consider:
Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other,
So that man can find out nothing that will come after him. - The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?
I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings. - And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
- Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.
May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us. Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.Next verse!With image
