Bible Verses about 'Can’t'

  • And those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
  • You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid.
  • For we brought nothing into the world, so that we can take nothing out of it; but if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these.
  • You want something and do not have it; so you commit murder. And you covet something and cannot obtain it; so you engage in disputes and conflicts. You do not have, because you do not ask.
  • Jesus answered him, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.”
  • The Almighty —we cannot find him;
    he is great in power and justice,
    and abundant righteousness he will not violate.
  • Jesus answered, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.”
  • Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.
  • No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.
  • He said to them, “Then do you also fail to understand? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile,
    since it enters, not the heart but the stomach, and goes out into the sewer?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.)
  • For the customs of the peoples are false:
    a tree from the forest is cut down,
    and worked with an ax by the hands of an artisan;
    people deck it with silver and gold;
    they fasten it with hammer and nails
    so that it cannot move.
    Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field,
    and they cannot speak;
    they have to be carried,
    for they cannot walk.
    Do not be afraid of them,
    for they cannot do evil,
    nor is it in them to do good.
  • As they came from their mother's womb, so they shall go again, naked as they came; they shall take nothing for their toil, which they may carry away with their hands.
  • We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of everyone of you for one another is increasing.
  • No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
  • For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin.
  • He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
  • Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.
  • For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast.
  • Because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.
  • So we can say with confidence,
    “The Lord is my helper;
    I will not be afraid.
    What can anyone do to me?”
  • Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
  • Speak out for those who cannot speak,
    for the rights of all the destitute.
  • I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
  • Or can one walk on hot coals
    without scorching the feet?
  • With the Lord on my side I do not fear.
    What can mortals do to me?

A capable wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels.
