- But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”
- If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.
- “No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord. - Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
- Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
- If you love Me, keep My commandments.
- Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
- You have also given me the shield of Your salvation;
Your right hand has held me up,
Your gentleness has made me great.
You enlarged my path under me,
So my feet did not slip. - In You, O Lord, I put my trust;
Let me never be ashamed;
Deliver me in Your righteousness. - Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
- And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
Save me, and I shall be saved,
For You are my praise. - You are my hiding place;
You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah - Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day. - As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.
- I called on the Lord in distress;
The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. - For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
- There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
- Teach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in the land of uprightness. - Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
- For You are my rock and my fortress;
Therefore, for Your name’s sake,
Lead me and guide me. - The Lord is on my side;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me? - I spread out my hands to You;
My soul longs for You like a thirsty land. Selah - Blessed be the Lord,
Who daily loads us with benefits,
The God of our salvation! Selah - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
