This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.
Now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not draw back from Him in shame at His coming.And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end.For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in people.It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

Now faith is the certainty of things hoped for, a proof of things not seen.Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose trust is the Lord. For he will be like a tree planted by the water That extends its roots by a stream, And does not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought, Nor cease to yield fruit.Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
That their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and that they would attain to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself.That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ.
On the day of prosperity be happy, But on the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other So that a person will not discover anything that will come after him.In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
Through overconfidence comes nothing but strife, But wisdom is with those who receive counsel.Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.
