Bible Verses about 'Content'
- Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.
- Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.
- After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.
- Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
“I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.” - That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
- Fools’ words get them into constant quarrels;
they are asking for a beating. - Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness!
- The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers!
- I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.
- Pride leads to conflict;
those who take advice are wise. - And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God.
- When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
