- Rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer.
- Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.

Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. - We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.
- For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
- By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
- Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.
- You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace,
because he trusts in you. - Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.

for you alone, Yahweh, make me live in safety. - Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.
