Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ ”And in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’
If I say, “My foot slips,” Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free.
“Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds.” ’ But they did not hear nor heed Me,” says the Lord.Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets cried out, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, Return from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.’ But they did not hear or pay attention to me, declares the Lord.
Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.
