Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. | Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. |
And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen.” | Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. |

“Can a person hide himself in hiding places So that I do not see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord. | Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. |
The face of the Lord is against evildoers, To eliminate the memory of them from the earth. | The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. |
Do not be mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness? | Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? |
He said to them, “But who do you yourselves say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” | He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. |
But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who are abusive to you. | But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. |
But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread. | But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled. |
So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. | As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. |
And he would answer and say to them, “The one who has two tunics is to share with the one who has none; and the one who has food is to do likewise.” | He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. |
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a person sows, this he will also reap. | Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. |
Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. | And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. |
Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight. | Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. |
And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, which is being given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” | And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. |
For the customs of the peoples are futile; For it is wood cut from the forest, The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. They decorate the idol with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not totter. They are like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot walk! Do not fear them, For they can do no harm, Nor can they do any good. | For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. |
Do not say, “Why is it that the former days were better than these?” For it is not from wisdom that you ask about this. | Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this. |
But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots, dividing His garments among themselves. | Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. |
Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding! Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth. | Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. |
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. | Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. |
For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears attend to their prayer, But the face of the Lord is against evildoers. | For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. |
Do not envy a violent person, And do not choose any of his ways. For the devious are an abomination to the Lord; But He is intimate with the upright. | Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. |
But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses. | But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. |
When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their evil way, then God relented of the disaster which He had declared He would bring on them. So He did not do it. | And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. |
Do not abandon your friend or your father’s friend, And do not go to your brother’s house on the day of your disaster; Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far away. | Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off. |
Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward. | Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. |
