Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9	The Lord does not delay in keeping his promise, as some think in terms of delay, but he is patient with you. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8	Everyone who sins comes from the devil, for the devil has been a sinner from the very beginning. I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.

I understand that man’s greatest happiness is to be glad and do well throughout his life. And when we eat and drink and find satisfaction in all our labors, this is a gift of God.
