Chinese (traditional)- For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
- Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear unto my cry;
hold not thy peace at my tears:
for I am a stranger with thee,
and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. - I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
- As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
- Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
- Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
- Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
- Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
- I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers,
who hast given me wisdom and might,
and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee:
for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter. - Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.
- Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
- Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.
- Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
- Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
- Like as a father pitieth his children,
so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. - And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
- And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
- For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- A wise son maketh a glad father:
but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. - But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
- Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
- But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.Next verse! With image
