- My son, keep thy father's commandment,
and forsake not the law of thy mother. - If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
- In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
- A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. - And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.
- Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
- No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
- Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
- Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not;
neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity:
for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off. - And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
- Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
- Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
- For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
- Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy. - Learn to do well; seek judgment,
relieve the oppressed,
judge the fatherless,
plead for the widow. - Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
- I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
- As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
- Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
- The Lord preserveth the strangers;
he relieveth the fatherless and widow:
but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. - Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
- House and riches are the inheritance of fathers:
and a prudent wife is from the Lord. - Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
- Children's children are the crown of old men;
and the glory of children are their fathers.
Sing unto God, sing praises to his name:
extol him that rideth upon the heavens
by his name Jah, and rejoice before him.
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows,
is God in his holy habitation.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
