- If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
- Your word is a lamp to my feet,
and a light for my path. - Or can one walk on hot coals,
and his feet not be scorched? - Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength.
He makes my feet like deer’s feet,
and enables me to go in high places. - Make the path of your feet level.
Let all of your ways be established. - And the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. - How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace,
who brings good news,
who proclaims salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” - Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. Yahweh has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
- You have also given me the shield of your salvation.
Your right hand sustains me.
Your gentleness has made me great.
You have enlarged my steps under me,
My feet have not slipped. - Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
- You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.
- But I tell you, don’t swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God; nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
- Don’t turn to the right hand nor to the left.
Remove your foot from evil. - He will again have compassion on us.
He will tread our iniquities under foot.
You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. - For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.
- But he knows the way that I take.
When he has tried me, I will come out like gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps.
I have kept his way, and not turned away. - “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
from doing your pleasure on my holy day,
and call the Sabbath a delight,
and the holy of Yahweh honorable,
and honor it,
not doing your own ways,
nor finding your own pleasure,
nor speaking your own words,
then you will delight yourself in Yahweh,
and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth,
and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father;”
for Yahweh’s mouth has spoken it.
The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.” But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from you, and we have given you of your own.Next verse! With image
