- And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet.
- Can he walk on hot coals
and not blister his feet? - Your word is a lamp to guide my feet
and a light for my path. - Mark out a straight path for your feet;
stay on the safe path. - The Sovereign Lord is my strength!

able to tread upon the heights. - The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

are the feet of the messenger who brings good news,
the good news of peace and salvation,
the news that the God of Israel reigns! - You have given me your shield of victory.
Your right hand supports me;
your help has made me great.
You have made a wide path for my feet
to keep them from slipping. - The Lord is slow to get angry, but his power is great,
and he never lets the guilty go unpunished.
He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm.

keep your feet from following evil. - Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. - Once again you will have compassion on us.
You will trample our sins under your feet
and throw them into the depths of the ocean! - You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
- But I say, do not make any vows! Do not say, ‘By heaven!’ because heaven is God’s throne. And do not say, ‘By the earth!’ because the earth is his footstool. And do not say, ‘By Jerusalem!’ for Jerusalem is the city of the great King.

Don’t pursue your own interests on that day,
but enjoy the Sabbath
and speak of it with delight as the Lord’s holy day.
Honor the Sabbath in everything you do on that day,
and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly.
Then the Lord will be your delight.
I will give you great honor
and satisfy you with the inheritance I promised to your ancestor Jacob.
I, the Lord, have spoken!
