- I thank you and praise you,
O God of my fathers,
who have given me wisdom and might,
and have now made known to me what we desired of you;
for you have made known to us the king’s matter. - Jesus therefore said to them again, “Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”
- Do the things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
- He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
- “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
- I have chosen the way of truth.
I have set your ordinances before me. - In the multitude of my thoughts within me,
your comforts delight my soul. - Establish my footsteps in your word.
Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me. - Then Jesus said, “I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.”
- In God, I praise his word.
In God, I put my trust.
I will not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? - You shall most certainly not make gods of silver or gods of gold for yourselves to be alongside me.
- But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
- So that with good courage we say,
“The Lord is my helper. I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” - But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the price of the land? While you kept it, didn’t it remain your own? After it was sold, wasn’t it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You haven’t lied to men, but to God.”
- “Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “turn to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.” - If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him.
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.”
- Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.
- He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
- Deep calls to deep at the noise of your waterfalls.
All your waves and your billows have swept over me. - Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.
- I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out and will find pasture.
- He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.
- Praise Yahweh, my soul!
All that is within me, praise his holy name! - If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
