- But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.
- Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
- Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
- Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. my fortress; I shall not be shaken. - The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore. - He who withholds kindness from a friend
forsakes the fear of the Almighty. - Blessed is the one
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. - The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
- For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. - For you are my rock and my fortress;
and for your name's sake you lead me and guide me. - And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
- And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
- For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?
