So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding.
He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.
And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.
A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.The lips of fools bring them strife, and their mouths invite a beating.
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.

Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil.Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong.
