Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever else you get, get insight.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.So teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart.
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.Happy are those who find wisdom, and those who get understanding.
He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.To get wisdom is to love oneself; to keep understanding is to prosper.
And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.Athletes exercise self-control in all things; they do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable one.

Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.Keep my steps steady according to your promise, and never let iniquity have dominion over me.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.So whenever you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.Speak out, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.
A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.A fool's lips bring strife, and a fool's mouth invites a flogging.
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools suffers harm.

Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil.Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil.
