But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy.Speak out, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.
A fool’s lips enter into contention, And his mouth calls for blows.A fool's lips bring strife, and a fool's mouth invites a flogging.
He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools suffers harm.
