Bible Verses about 'Get'

Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding. The beginning of wisdom is: acquire wisdom, and no matter what the cost, acquire understanding.
Get wisdom. Get understanding. Don’t forget, and don’t deviate from the words of my mouth.Acquire wisdom and gain understanding; never forget or turn aside from my words.
How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! Yes, to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. It is better to acquire wisdom rather than gold, and more desirable to acquire understanding rather than silver.
Now why do you wait? Arise, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord. And now, what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.
Don’t weary yourself to be rich. In your wisdom, show restraint.Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth, and cease even to think about it.
The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, but the poor hear no threats.A wealthy man pays a ransom to save his life; a poor man never has to worry about such threats.
For they didn’t get the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, because you were favorable to them.It was not their own swords that won them the land, nor did their own arms make them victorious; rather, it was your right hand and your arm and the light of your face, because you loved them.
Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. The labors of the wicked man produce little profit, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. Therefore, whenever you give alms, do not trumpet your generosity, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets in order to win the praise of others. Amen, I say to you, they have already received their reward.
But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of eternal life. However, now that you have been freed from sin and bound to the service of God, the benefit you receive is sanctification, and the end is eternal life.
So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.Teach us to comprehend how few our days are so that our hearts may be filled with wisdom.
Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding.Blessed is the person who has found wisdom, the one who has gained understanding.
He who gets wisdom loves his own soul. He who keeps understanding shall find good.Whoever gains wisdom loves his own soul; one who cherishes understanding will prosper.
Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.Everyone who seeks a prize submits himself to rigorous self-discipline in every respect. They do so to win a perishable crown, while we seek an imperishable one.
The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself.A generous person will be enriched; he who refreshes others will also be refreshed.
Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions.Welcome anyone whose faith is weak, but do not get into arguments about doubts.
You lust, and don’t have. You murder and covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war. You don’t have, because you don’t ask.You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask.
Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. Therefore, rid yourselves of everything sordid and of every wicked excess, and welcome in all humility the word that is implanted in you and is able to save your souls.
Establish my footsteps in your word. Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me.Guide my steps in accord with your word and never let evil triumph over me.
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. The measure that you use for others will be used to measure you.
Don’t turn to the right hand nor to the left. Remove your foot from evil.Do not swerve either to the right or to the left; keep your foot far from evil.
Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.Remember this: if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly, and if you sow generously, you will reap generously as well.
But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. However, those who want riches fall into temptations and are trapped into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy.Speak out and pronounce righteous judgments; defend the rights of the wretched and the poor.
A fool’s lips come into strife, and his mouth invites beatings. The lips of a fool cause strife, and his mouth provokes a flogging.

One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but he who mingles with fools will suffer harm.
