Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. | So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they will be praised by people. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. |
But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of eternal life. | But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life. |
So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. | So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom. |
Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding. | Blessed is a person who finds wisdom, And one who obtains understanding. |
But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. | But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge people into ruin and destruction. |

Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. | Now I say this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows generously will also reap generously. |
