- For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
- But now that you have been freed from sin and enslaved to God, the advantage you get is sanctification. The end is eternal life.

I will lift up my hands and call on your name. - So that, just as sin exercised dominion in death, so grace might also exercise dominion through justification leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

- But for that very reason I received mercy, so that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display the utmost patience, making me an example to those who would come to believe in him for eternal life.
- No longer present your members to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and present your members to God as instruments of righteousness.

and their lips from speaking deceit;
let them turn away from evil and do good;
let them seek peace and pursue it.” - Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and just as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. Only, you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
- It is a snare for one to say rashly, “It is holy,”
and begin to reflect only after making a vow. - The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time on and forevermore. - House and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is from the Lord. - Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who take it. For the gate is narrow and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
