Giving to the need (2/4)

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.However, whoever lives by the truth comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been done in God.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for I bring you good news of great joy for all the people.”
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.In the same way, I tell you, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.
Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.Entrust everything that you do to the Lord, and your plans will turn out to be successful.
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.But as for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and therefore you do not need anyone to teach you. This same anointing teaches you everything and is true and not false, so abide in him just as he taught you.
And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’
For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.For so has the Lord commanded us to do, saying, ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles so that you may bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’
The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.Jesus replied, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.The explanation of your words gives light and imparts understanding to the simple.
Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.The Lord abhors lying lips, but he delights in those who are truthful.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.If you are angry, do not sin. Do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not give the devil an opening.
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.I do not say this because I have been in need, for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.Jesus replied, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.In view of all this, you should make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with piety, and piety with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Your almsgiving must be done in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.Then he took a cup, and after offering thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from this, all of you. For this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.”
Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.Sing praise to the Lord for his mighty deeds; let this be known throughout the entire world.

And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.Then he sat down, summoned the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he must become the last of all and the servant of all.”
