Giving to the needy (2/4)

The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright, But ruin to the workers of injustice.The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless, but it is the ruin of those who do evil.
And heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders.I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage battle according to the flesh.For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.

For You have put us to the test, God; You have refined us as silver is refined.For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver.

For I give plenty of water to the weary ones, and refresh everyone who languishes.I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.

One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law, Even his prayer is an abomination.If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.
And that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal faithfully are His delight.The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.
One who pays attention to the word will find good, And blessed is one who trusts in the Lord.Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.
I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.

So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they will be praised by people. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
