- No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
- And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- But I am the Lord your God
from the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.
- Our God is in the heavens;
he does all that he pleases. - Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
- So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
- Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
- And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
- These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- Behold, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. - God shall bless us;
let all the ends of the earth fear him! - Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called sons of God. - Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God. - For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him. - Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
forget not the afflicted. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - But he said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”
- I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart. - Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- For you, O God, have tested us;
you have tried us as silver is tried.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.Next verse!With image
