- For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live.
- Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel.
- The entrance of thy words giveth light;
it giveth understanding unto the simple. - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
- He giveth power to the faint;
and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. - Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord;
and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you:
for I am merciful, saith the Lord,
and I will not keep anger for ever. - But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- For the Lord giveth wisdom:
out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. - But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
- And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
- If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
- Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
- He coveteth greedily all the day long:
but the righteous giveth and spareth not. - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
- A fool uttereth all his mind:
but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. - The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again:
but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. - Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
- God setteth the solitary in families:
he bringeth out those which are bound with chains:
but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. - A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men. - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
- The Lord will give strength unto his people;
the Lord will bless his people with peace. - Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
- Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
- Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus.
- Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
The liberal soul shall be made fat:
and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness. Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.Next verse!With image
