I have been the Lord your God ever since I brought you out of Egypt. You must acknowledge no God but me, for there is no other savior. | Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me. |
God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. | If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. |

Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. | There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. |
Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. | Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children. |
As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. | As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. |
You light a lamp for me. The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. | For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. |
