- A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
- So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
- And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.
- Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
- Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
- For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
- Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
- For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
- Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?
- If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
- But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
- I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.
- We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.

dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;

blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. - Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
- Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- Then you will understand what is right and just
and fair—every good path. - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.” - But test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.
- For he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things. - The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him. - How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!
But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
