- For in much wisdom is much grief:
and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. - A wise son maketh a glad father:
but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. - He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not. - For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
- Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows:

- And rend your heart,
and not your garments,
and turn unto the Lord your God:
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and of great kindness,
and repenteth him of the evil. - Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
- For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.Next verse!With image
