- Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?
- Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.
- For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.
- In all labor there is profit,
But idle chatter leads only to poverty. - Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
- The hand of the diligent will rule,
But the lazy man will be put to forced labor. - Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
- With my whole heart I have sought You;
Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! - I called on the Lord in distress;
The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. - Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
- Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished,
But he who gathers by labor will increase. - Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
- Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.
- In the day of prosperity be joyful,
But in the day of adversity consider:
Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other,
So that man can find out nothing that will come after him. - For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
- Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
- Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
- And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
- Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
- For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.Next verse!With image
