- This is the day which the Lord has made;
Let’s rejoice and be glad in it. - A person has joy in an apt answer,
And how delightful is a timely word! - If I should say, “My foot has slipped,”
Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me. - Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.
- God is not a man, that He would lie,
Nor a son of man, that He would change His mind;
Has He said, and will He not do it?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? - For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.
- But he said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; see, here is the place where they laid Him.”
- One who conceals hatred has lying lips,
And one who spreads slander is a fool. - As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our wrongdoings from us. - Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.
- For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
- Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends.
- If someone says, “I love God,” and yet he hates his brother or sister, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother and sister whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
- And heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- For today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
- And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
- So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
- The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent and believe in the gospel.
- But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an active doer, this person will be blessed in what he does.
- By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit.
- From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
- Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has chosen for His own inheritance. - And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
- Praise the Lord in song, for He has done glorious things;
Let this be known throughout the earth. - Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”
