| God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? | God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? |
| But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. | Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him. |

| Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near. | Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. |
| He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. | He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber. |

| The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. | The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing. |
