Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. | Beloved, we are God’s children now. What we shall be has not yet been revealed. My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor detest His correction; For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights. | My son, do not ignore the Lord’s discipline or refuse to accept his rebuke. For the Lord disciplines those whom he loves, just as a father chastises a beloved son. |

The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him. | The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him. |
He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends. | One who forgives a misdeed fosters friendship, but he who divulges it separates good friends. |
