For it has been granted you not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him.For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on His behalf.
This is how we can be certain that we abide in him and that he abides in us: he has given us a share in his Spirit.By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit.
The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him.The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him.
Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above all other names, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth.For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
After he said this, he was lifted up as they looked on, and a cloud took him from their sight.And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.
Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I dwell in him.The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him.
Then Peter came up to him and asked, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy times seven.”Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy-seven times.”
For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall also be united with him in his resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be destroyed and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.
While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.While they were there, the time came for her to give birth. Above his head was inscribed the charge against him: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
But when the disciples saw him walking on the water they thought it was a ghost and they cried out, for they all had seen him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them, saying, “Have courage! It is I! Do not be afraid!”But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought that it was a ghost, and they cried out; for they all saw Him and were terrified. But immediately He spoke with them and said to them, “Take courage; it is I, do not be afraid.”
In my anguish I cried out; the Lord heard my plea, and I was saved from all my troubles.This wretched man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.
The father of a good man will rejoice; he who begets a wise son will delight in him.The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him.
For ‘In him we live and move and have our being.’ As even your own poets have said, ‘We are all his offspring.’For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His descendants.’
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe in him already stands condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
The way of God is blameless, and the Lord’s promise proves true; he is a shield to all who flee to him for safety.As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is refined; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but in order that the world might be saved through him.For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
For I resolved that, while I was with you, I would know nothing except Jesus Christ—and him crucified.For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.
The way of God is blameless; the Lord’s promise has proved true. He is a shield to all who take refuge in him.As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is refined; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
May God continue to bless us and be revered to the ends of the earth.God blesses us, So that all the ends of the earth may fear Him.
And if one should fall, his companion will help him up. How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls and has no one to assist him to his feet.For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up!
He was despised and shunned by others, a man of sorrows who was no stranger to suffering. We loathed him and regarded him as of no account, as one from whom men avert their gaze.He was despised and abandoned by men, A man of great pain and familiar with sickness; And like one from whom people hide their faces, He was despised, and we had no regard for Him.
Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.
He reveals deep and hidden mysteries and knows what lies in the darkness, for light dwells with him.It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.

All those who keep his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And the proof that he abides in us is the Spirit that he has given us.The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
