All those who keep his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And the proof that he abides in us is the Spirit that he has given us. | The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. |

Then Peter addressed them: “I now understand how true it is that God has no favorites, but that in every nation all those who fear God and do what is right are acceptable to him.” | Opening his mouth, Peter said: “I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him.” |
And thus we can have confidence in him that if we ask anything that is in accordance with his will, he hears us. | This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. |
When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your wicked ways. | God raised up His Servant for you first, and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways. |

God’s love was revealed to us in this way: God sent his only-begotten Son into the world so that we might have life through him. | By this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him. |
This is the commandment we have received from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. | And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God must also love his brother and sister. |

If we claim that we have fellowship with him while we continue to live in darkness, we are lying and do not live in the truth. | If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. |

Therefore, he has the full power to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to intercede for them. | Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. |
