| God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. | God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. |
| And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him. | But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. |

| The Lord redeems the souls of His servants, And none of those who take refuge in Him will suffer for their guilt. | The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. |
| Blessed are those who comply with His testimonies, And seek Him with all their heart. | Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. |
| Taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! | O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. |
| Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. | Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. |
| Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. | Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. |
| But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life. | But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. |

| And having been perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey Him. | And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. |
| But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. | But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. |
| If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him. | If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. |
| The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him. | He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. |
| By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit. | Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. |
| Therefore, you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him. | Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. |
| The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. | And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. |
| Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who wait for His faithfulness. | Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy. |
| But Jesus said to him, “ ‘If You can’? All things are possible for the one who believes.” | Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. |
| The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him. | The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. |
| Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. | Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. |
| Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” | Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. |
| For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over every ruler and authority. | For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power. |
