- For with God nothing shall be impossible.
- And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
- Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
- Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
- The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord:
and he delighteth in his way. - Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. - Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
- Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. - The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again:
but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. - Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out:
he is excellent in power, and in judgment,
and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. - In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
- When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
- And set up over his head his accusation written, This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews.
- But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
- Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. - Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light,
and thy judgment as the noonday. - Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.
- For the Lord loveth judgment,
and forsaketh not his saints;
they are preserved for ever:
but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. - A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. - Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
- For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
- The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him,
to all that call upon him in truth. - The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
- It is a faithful saying:
For if we be dead with him,
we shall also live with him. - All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
