- The wicked borrows and does not repay,
But the righteous shows mercy and gives. - As for the Almighty, we cannot find Him;
He is excellent in power,
In judgment and abundant justice;
He does not oppress. - On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.”
- When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.
- But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.
- Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. - Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday. - Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
- For the Lord loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. - A little that a righteous man has
Is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
But the Lord upholds the righteous. - Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.
- For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
- The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth. - The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.
- This is a faithful saying:
For if we died with Him,
We shall also live with Him. - All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
- You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.
- If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.
- Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
- Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”
- And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
- I cried to Him with my mouth,
And He was extolled with my tongue. - To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.
- This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
- He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
- Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near. - For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
- What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him? - Truly my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my salvation. - My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him. - A man’s gift makes room for him,
And brings him before great men. - Whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
- And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.
- Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.
- Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
- But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles. - And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
- The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him. - But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
- “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!”
