He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.Anyone who is victorious will be dressed like these in white robes, and I shall not blot his name from the book of life. Rather, I shall acknowledge it in the presence of my Father and his angels.
For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation.For the Lord takes delight in his people, and he crowns the humble with salvation.
There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.Therefore, a Sabbath rest still remains for the people of God, since those who enter into God’s rest also cease from their own labors as God did from his.
Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.
Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. Yahweh has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.The Lord is slow to anger but great in power, and he will never allow the guilty to escape punishment. He makes his way in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust beneath his feet.
Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised! His greatness is unsearchable.Great is the Lord and worthy of the highest praise; no one can even begin to comprehend his greatness.
For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.For the Lord himself is the one who bestows wisdom; from his mouth come forth knowledge and understanding.
She shall give birth to a son. You shall name him Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.She will give birth to a son, and you shall name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’The tax collector, however, stood some distance away and would not even raise his eyes to heaven. Rather, he kept beating his breast as he said, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner.’
If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you.If you listen to the voice of the Lord, your God, and you do what is right in his sight, if you listen to his ordinances and observe all of his laws, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.
A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son gives grief to his mother.
With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge.With his mouth the godless man seeks to ruin his neighbor, but knowledge enables the righteous to be delivered.
Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures forever.
His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.He is the reflection of God’s glory and the perfect expression of his very being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. Achieving purification from sins, he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
Seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue.His divine power has bestowed on us everything that is necessary for life and for devotion through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue.
For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.If you obey the command that I give you today, to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways, and to observe his commandments, statutes, and decrees, then you will live and multiply, and the Lord, your God, will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.
He who walks blamelessly and does what is right, and speaks truth in his heart; he who doesn’t slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his friend, nor casts slurs against his fellow man.The one who leads a blameless life and does what is right, who speaks the truth from the heart and does not slander anyone, who does not harm a friend and does not scorn a neighbor.
The testimony is this: that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
That he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.For he guards the paths of justice and keeps watch over the way of his faithful ones.
But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out like gold. My foot has held fast to his steps. I have kept his way, and not turned away.And yet he is aware of everywhere I go; if he were to test me, I would emerge like pure gold. My footsteps have not strayed from the path he established; I have followed his way and never turned aside.
Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness.But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those who trust in his kindness.
The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; those who are guided by it will grow in understanding. His praise will last forever.
By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.This is how we can be certain that we abide in him and that he abides in us: he has given us a share in his Spirit.
He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die.Whoever observes the commandments will live, but the one who scorns them will die.
Like a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him.As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.

He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”He then called the people and his disciples to him and said to them, “Anyone who wishes to follow me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
