Bible Verses about 'Holiness'
- Having therefore these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
- Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord.
- I will magnify myself and sanctify myself, and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.
- But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of eternal life.

- Who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times eternal.
- But just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior, because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
- How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word. - Search me, God, and know my heart.
Try me, and know my thoughts.
See if there is any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the everlasting way. - Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus.
- Do all things without complaining and arguing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world, holding up the word of life.
- You shall be holy to me, for I, Yahweh, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that you should be mine.
- But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints.
- Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.
- There is no one as holy as Yahweh,
for there is no one besides you,
nor is there any rock like our God. - For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God.
- For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity,
whose name is Holy, says:
“I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble,
and to revive the heart of the contrite.” - Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
- Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
- Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them.
- Seek good, and not evil,
that you may live;
and so Yahweh, the God of Armies, will be with you,
as you say. - Praise Yahweh, my soul!
All that is within me, praise his holy name! - The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom.
The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - It is a snare to a man to make a rash dedication,
then later to consider his vows.
