- For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit, and those of the Spirit are opposed to the flesh. They are in conflict with one another, so that you cannot do what you want.
- In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
- If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then the one who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwells in you.
- Therefore, if the Son sets you free,
you then will truly be free. - The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Whoever does not love
does not know God,
because God is love. - If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple.
- Do you not realize that you are God’s temple, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
- There is one body and one Spirit, as well as one hope to which you have been called by your vocation.
- My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
a contrite and humble heart, O God,
you will not spurn. - Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
Let your gracious Spirit lead me
along a level path. - I will put my Spirit in you and make you follow my statutes and my ordinances.
- You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’
and rightly so,
for that is what I am. - This is my commandment:
love one another
as I have loved you. - Beloved,
since God loved us so much,
we should love one another. - You have already been cleansed
by the word I have spoken to you. - Everyone who sins breaks the law,
for sin is lawlessness. - If the world hates you,
be aware that it hated me
before it hated you. - Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, it will be enough for us.”
- Stay awake and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak.
- Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You place your trust in God.
Trust also in me. - Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood
dwells in me and I dwell in him. - He cried out, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” And with these words he breathed his last.
- The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has been unable to overcome it.
Whoever possesses the Son
possesses life;
whoever does not possess the Son of God
does not possess life. Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with a joy that is indescribable and glorious. For you are achieving the goal of your faith, that is, the salvation of your souls.Next verse!With image
