Bible Verses about 'Honorable'

  • Avoiding strife is an honor for a person,
    But any fool will quarrel.
  • Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
  • If, because of the Sabbath, you restrain your foot
    From doing as you wish on My holy day,
    And call the Sabbath a pleasure, and the holy day of the Lord honorable,
    And honor it, desisting from your own ways,
    From seeking your own pleasure
    And speaking your own word,
    Then you will take delight in the Lord,
    And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth;
    And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father,
    For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
  • Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
  • One who walks in integrity walks securely,
    But one who perverts his ways will be found out.
  • A good name is to be more desired than great wealth;
    Favor is better than silver and gold.
  • For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God.
  • Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.

Bible verse of the day

How delightful on the mountains
Are the feet of one who brings good news,
Who announces peace
And brings good news of happiness,
Who announces salvation,
And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

And let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.Next verse!With image
