- Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
- I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.

Return to me, for I have redeemed you. - Go, gather together all the Jews who are present in Susa, and fast for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day. I and my maidens will also fast the same way. Then I will go in to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish.
- Yahweh is my light and my salvation.
Whom shall I fear?
Yahweh is the strength of my life.
Of whom shall I be afraid? - In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
- I will hurry, and not delay,
to obey your commandments. - I haven’t gone back from the commandment of his lips.
I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. - I cried to him with my mouth.
He was extolled with my tongue. - “Yahweh is my portion,” says my soul.
“Therefore I will hope in him.” - One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after:
that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life,
to see Yahweh’s beauty,
and to inquire in his temple. - I indeed baptize you in water for repentance, but he who comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.
- Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, “Rejoice!”
- I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.
- I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
