I have set your ordinances before me. - I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. - I am inquired of by those who didn’t ask.
I am found by those who didn’t seek me.
I said, ‘See me, see me,’ to a nation that was not called by my name. - Where could I go from your Spirit?
Or where could I flee from your presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, you are there.
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! - I acknowledged my sin to you.
I didn’t hide my iniquity.
I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh,
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. - But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving.
I will pay that which I have vowed.
Salvation belongs to Yahweh. - For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.
- For I, Yahweh your God, will hold your right hand,
saying to you, ‘Don’t be afraid.
I will help you.’ - I will be glad and rejoice in you.
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.
- I will give thanks to you with uprightness of heart,
when I learn your righteous judgments. - Whom do I have in heaven?
There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you.
