Bible Verses about 'I'
- When I am terrified,
I place my trust in you. - I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have life. - I will not leave you orphans;
I will come to you. - I then heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me!”
- Even when you reach old age
I will still be the same.
Even when your hair is gray,
I will still carry you.
I have made you and I will uphold you;
I will carry you and save you. - I do not say this because I have been in need, for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
- Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth:
it is better for you that I depart.
For if I do not go away,
the Advocate will not come to you,

because I have sought your commands. - I wait for the Lord in anxious expectation;
I place my hope in his word. - I will strengthen the house of Judah,
and I will save the house of Joseph.
I will bring them back
because I have taken pity on them,
and they will be
as though I had never cast them off;
for I am the Lord, their God,
and I will answer them. - Do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and give you help,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. - For I, the Lord, am your God
and I grasp your right hand.
It is I who say to you,
Do not fear; I will help you. - I was eager to respond
to those who did not consult me.
I was anxious to be approached
by those who did not seek me.
I said, “Here I am! Here I am!”
to a nation that did not summon me. - In God, whose word I praise,
in God I place my trust and know no fear;
what can people do to me? - I treasure your word in my heart
for fear that I may sin against you. - I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I have set your judgments before me. - Where can I go to hide from your spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to the heavens, you are there;
if I take my rest in the netherworld, you are also there. - But I with hymns of praise
will offer sacrifice to you.
What I have vowed I will fulfill.
Salvation comes from the Lord. - I will praise you in sincerity of heart
as I ponder your righteous judgments. - I will rejoice and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed;
save me, and I will be saved;
you are the one whom I praise. - Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I made no attempt to conceal my guilt.
I said, “I will confess my offenses to the Lord,”
and you removed the guilt of my sin. Selah - Be still and acknowledge that I am God,
exalted among the nations,
exalted on the earth. - I am confident that I will behold the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - I reprove and discipline all those whom I love. Therefore, be sincere in your desire to repent.
- He must increase;
I must decrease. - Whom do I have in heaven except you?
And besides you there is nothing else I desire on earth. - Does it now appear to you that I am trying to gain the approval of human beings rather than the approval of God? Am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
- I keep the Lord always before me,
for with him at my right hand
I will never fall. - If I give away everything to feed the poor
and hand over my body to be burned,
but do not have love,
I achieve nothing. - I will extol you, my God and King;
I will bless your name forever and ever. - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - I will offer praise to you, O Lord,
with my whole heart;
I will recount all your wondrous deeds. - At dawn let me experience your kindness,
for in you I place my trust.
Show me the path I must walk,
for to you I lift up my soul. - For this reason, I rejoice when I endure weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and distress for the sake of Christ. For it is when I am weak that I am strong.
- Peace I leave with you,
my peace I give to you.
Not as the world gives
do I give it to you.
Do not let your hearts be troubled;
be not afraid. - I will give thanks to you among the peoples, O Lord;
I will sing your praises among the nations. - But as for me, I will look to the Lord.
I place my hope in God my savior;
my God will hear me. - I shall forgive them for their wicked deeds,
and I shall remember their sins no more. - I have made a covenant with my eyes
not to look with desire upon a virgin. - Protect me, O God,
for in you I take refuge. - Jesus then said,
“I will remain with you
only for a short time longer,
and then I shall return
to him who sent me.” - Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace but a sword.
- I have made your name known to them,
and I will make it known,
so that the love with which you loved me
may be in them, and I in them. - I will instruct you
and guide you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you
and keep my eyes upon you. - Amen, amen, I say to you,
the one who believes in me
will also do the works that I do,
and indeed will do even greater ones than these,
because I am going to the Father. - For I will provide the weary with all they need, and I will restore the strength of all those who have grown faint with hunger.
- I came from the Father
and have come into the world.
Now I am leaving the world
and returning to the Father. - Return, rebel Israel, says the Lord.
I will not look upon you in anger.
For I am merciful, says the Lord;
my wrath will not continue forever. - And now it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. The life I live now in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.
